MICHAEL + TRENTON
Michael and Trenton McGahan reside in Pennsylvania with their teenage son and four rambunctious Australian Shepherds. Known for their devotion to one another, their loved ones, and their craft, The Bow Boys bring thoughtfulness and warmth to every space they enter. Trenton and Michael tied the knot in 2017, but they’ve been tying quality, custom cheerleading bows since the summer of 2012.

IT ALL STARTED WITH A SPARK
When we started cheering together in high school, it was hugely popular to hang bows from your backpack. We’d browse the vendors’ selections at every competition, but always ended up disappointed by the high price and the low quality.
Eventually, we decided to try making some ourselves, and drove to a fabric store to grab supplies. It wasn’t long before the kids at our West Virginia gym were rocking our Custom Cheer Bows. Soon, high school programs and more all-star gyms were ordering our hair accessories, and we have been growing steadily ever since.
Now based in Pittsburgh, we have become known as The Bow Boys. We have spent over a decade perfecting our process and products, and connecting with cheerleaders all over the map. Nothing beats supporting our athletes as they confidently compete in bows that we shaped with our own hands.

A uniform’s finishing touch should be a masterpiece, not an afterthought. Cheerleaders are the hardest workers we know and we’ve made it our goal to support them with accessories that keep up.
The hair ties inside our scrunchies are seamless, making them incredibly difficult to snap. We use these to ensure a strong elastic hold for every practice and competition.

We could not be more proud of the people we outfit. This generation of cheerleaders knows what it means to overcome adversity, to look out for one another, and to show up every day for teammates who feel like family. Today’s programs fly higher, tumble cleaner, and stretch the limits of what cheer can be. The bows we make are as durable as they are beautiful, because they crown athletes who embody resilience, passion, and poise.
